Campground & Accommodation
Bush camping is a short stroll to the rodeo arena – about a 2-minute walk. There’s plenty of room for caravans, tents, buses and vans. Shared toilets are available, but if you want a shower, you’ll need to bring your own or head into the town. Fire pits and wood are subject to permits. If camping’s not your style, there’s accommodation in Boyup Brook and surrounding towns, but book early.
Food, Entertainment & Market Stalls
For the most up to date information on who’ll be at the event, we suggest you head to the Double Barrel Entertainment Facebook Page and make sure to like us. If you’re not on social media, we’ll be updating the page as we finalise details.
We suggest you head to our Facebook page where we’ll announce this year’s music line-up as they come on board.
The rodeo arena is a fully licensed venue so no BYO. You’re more than welcome to have a few quiet ones at your campsite, but please, for everyone’s safety, no glass in the campgrounds.
The Harvey Dickson Rodeo is a family friendly event. It’s for the enjoyment of everyone. Put simply, if you can’t handle your booze and you’re behaving like a yob, you will be escorted from the grounds – either by security or the police.
The campsite is not a place for burnouts, aggressive behaviour, 4am music blaring or helping yourself to things that aren’t yours. If you can’t follow the rules, don’t buy a ticket.
For the safety of everybody concerned, no pets (other than trained service animals) are to be bought onto the campsite. We appreciate they’re a part of your family, but our livestock is part of ours and unfortunately, due to past experiences, we have to say no to all other animals. That includes sweet little Fido who never leaves your side – he’ll need to find another home for the weekend.
EFTPOS facilities are available for most food vans, market stalls and entertainment vendors. However, we suggest you bring cash with you as well as the machines can sometimes drop out.
We’ll post the details for rodeo entries closer to the date.
- Rodeo competitors get free entry +1 to the rodeo.
- Rodeo competitors get free camping in the competitors camping area.
- Rodeo competitors need to buy a ticket for the Friday night music shindig if they’d like to attend that.
The rodeo relies on volunteers to make the weekend a good time for all. You’ll be required to work a minimum of 4 hours before, during or after the festival. By volunteering, you gain free entry, but you do need to be over 16. We’re looking for people to help with the following:
- Gate Attendants
- Set Up/Pack Down Pre & Post Festival
- Information HQ
- Camping Assistants
- Volunteer Support
