Camping Pass Details

You can camp from Friday through to Sunday morning (up to 2 nights)
If you have 6 people in your party and are camping 3 nights, buy 6 camp passes.
If you have 2 people in your party staying for 1 night, buy 2 camp passes).
In short, buy a camp pass for each person camping.

Camp Ground Rules

You can sleep off the night before but no drinking is allowed in the camp grounds at all – plus all campers (incl. vehicles and gear) must be out by 11am Sunday morning – no exceptions.

Drinking Water Availability

Drinking water is not available in the camping area (there are toilets).
We recommend you bring a big 10L bottle of fresh / drinking water for camping.
600ml bottles of water are also available at the rodeo (and from food vans).

Where’s the Rodeo held?

The Dongara Rodeo 2024 is held at the Dongara Irwin Race Club, North Shore Drive, Dongara.

How does the weekend work?

There are 3 things to do:

1. Friday camping available from midday
2. Saturday (Oct 5): Dongara Rodeo 2024
3. Camping Passes (book on this page)

Campground & Accommodation

Bush camping is a short stroll to the rodeo arena – about a 2-minute walk. There’s plenty of room for caravans, tents, buses, vans & of course your swag. Shared toilets are available, but if you want a shower, you’ll need to bring your own. Fire pits and wood are subject to permits (info will be posted on Facebook).

Alcohol not Allowed in Camp Grounds

No alcohol is allowed in camp grounds.

Acceptable Behaviour

The Dongara Rodeo is a family friendly event. It’s for the enjoyment of everyone. Put simply, if you can’t handle your booze and you’re behaving like a yobo, you will be escorted from the grounds – either by security or the police.

The camp area is not a place for burnouts, aggressive behaviour, 4am music blaring or helping yourself to things that aren’t yours. If you can’t follow the rules, don’t buy a ticket.

Pets

For the safety of everybody concerned, no pets (other than trained service animals) are to be bought onto the campsite. We appreciate they’re a part of your family, but our livestock is part of ours and unfortunately, due to past experiences, we have to say no to all other animals. That includes sweet little Fido who never leaves your side – he’ll need to find another home for the weekend.

EFTPOS

EFTPOS facilities are available at the bar and for some of the food vans, market stalls etc.  However, we suggest you bring cash with you as well as the machines can sometimes drop out.

Competitors/Rodeo Entries

We’ll post the details for Dongara rodeo entries closer to the date.

• Rodeo competitors get free entry +1 to the rodeo.
• Rodeo competitors get free camping in the competitors camping area.
